Spider Woman Speaks Of The Seven Sacred Objects Of The Comanche

In 1995 or thereabouts, Spider Woman and I had a series of seven conversations about the Seven Sacred Objects she was holding for each of Seven Tribes: HOPI, ARAPAHOE, COMANCHE, LAKOTA/DAKOTA SIOUX, OSAGE, CHEROKEE, OJIBWA/CHIPPEWA. In ten years of Moon Ceremonies I did with Spider Woman in attendance, she rarely said a word, but when she did, everyone listened closely. It was amazing for me to have these more intimate conversations with her. Later it became obvious that her messages are not just for the seven tribes mentioned, but for all tribes and all peoples of the world. As I reread and retyped the messages, getting them ready for my website, I realized how timely they are now. No wonder she'd been nudging me lately to get them out to a wider audience. Both Spider Woman and I hope you will find this series of service and an aid to the ascension of All That Is.

Spider Woman Speaks Of The Seven Sacred Objects Of The Comanche

"Hello." I hear Spider Woman's voice greeting me. I turn and see her looking at me, smiling.
"Hello, yourself," I respond, returning her smile as she sits, with the Hopi and Arapahoe lines of Sacred Objects to her right and the other five lines in front of her. "I feel much rested and ready to continue."
"Me too." She picks up an object from a line in front of her. "Let's get started." She holds up an item for me to see.
It is something on a three inch long leather string. I look closer but have difficulty seeing the object on the string. Spider Woman hands the sacred item to me and as I hold it in my left palm, I see that it is a painted bead about three-quarters of an inch long, and maybe three-eighths of an inch in diameter. It looks as if it is made of clay.
"Yes, it is a Clay Bead. It is a bead that is, or was, used as monetary exchange for desired goods by the many tribes. I have placed it in the line for the Comanche because that is what is appropriate for them at this time.
"The Comanche are a tribe that is searching for different ways to do things, other than the way things have been done in the past one hundred years. They know the old ways no longer work and unlike many other tribes, they are searching for solutions or answers to their problems.
"This Clay Bead is a symbol to remind them that they can create their own money. Not by printing counterfeit government currency, but by creating barter items that other tribes and villages will want to trade for. There are many talented artists and craft persons within the Comanche tribe and a few who have a good head for business. They can create a barter system which will benefit not only their tribe, but many others. This Bead is a reminder for them to get off their butts and get going. No one is going to do it for them."
With that last comment she places the Clay Bead on a String in a new row to her right, then turns to pick up another object from the Comanche line in front.
For a moment she holds the item and looks at it. There is a long pause before she speaks. "This Little Bell is a wake up call to the Comanche."
She rings it for a moment and I can feel its sound penetrate my head and reverberate within my skull. It feels like it is moving things around, re-adjusting my brain and my thinking somehow. When my head clears a little, I find I am in a higher altered state... more altered than usual. It is a place without limits. It feels as if my skull no longer exists and my mind is unlimited.
"Interesting Little Bell, isn't it?" Spider Woman giggles. "Yes, the experience you are having is an expansion of your consciousness and a dissolving of previous limitations. The Bell will have the same effect on the Comanche." She puts the Little Bell next to the Clay Bead on a String to her right, then picks up another item from the Comanche line in front.
"This is a String." She holds up about six inches of plain, white string. "This String ties things together. It holds things. It has a certain strength alone, but if woven together with other String it can be made stronger and stronger, depending upon how many other Strings are added to it."
I am quiet. I understand what she is saying.
"This String symbolizes the unity that is necessary in any tribe, but especially for the Comanche. Together they will be strong enough to create miracles. Separated they may not survive the coming challenges."
She places the String to her right, then picks up another sacred object from the dwindling Comanche line in front of her. She holds it up in her right hand for me to see.
"This is a clue to the great secrets of life."
I look closer, for I cannot yet see clearly what she is holding. She holds it in such a way that it appears to be a flat, round, black object with four, black strings... like legs... dangling from it.
"The round center is The Great Void and the legs or strings represent the Four Directions. Of course, there are more than four directions, but this represents simplicity and four directions can get anyone started."
"Started where?"
"Started exploring The Great Void and learning to create. Each direction takes the Creator to another discovery, to another place where the Creator can learn about him/herself. It is often perceived as a fearful place in the beginning, but as the Creator creates, it becomes a very exciting playground , where anything is possible. It is important for all Comanche to create at this time. Of course, they have always been Creators and always will be, but this is to remind them to be conscious creators, not unconscious ones."
Spider Woman lays the symbolic Great Void to her right then picks up the next item for the Comanche. She holds it with both of her hands and looks closely at it. From a distance it looks like a small, gold coin. She turns it over for a moment, then continues her discourse.
"This Small Gold Coin is not for monetary exchange. It was a gift long ago from a brotherly tribe to the Comanche. It was a symbol to remind the HU-man people involved that their friendship was precious. But over the years petty bickering split the friendship apart and the symbol was lost. It is back to remind the Comanche that true friendship shines as a rare thing of great value and that it is important to always remember to honor and nurture all friendships."
She holds the Gold Coin to her heart for a moment and smiles at me. "Friendships and family hold the greatest of values. Everything else is fleeting and, for the most part, leaves you feeling empty. Love, especially unconditional love, fills us full because that is what we truly are and are always striving to be even more of."
Finally she places the Gold Coin to her right and picks up the final object for the Comanche. She cups it in her hands for several moments so that I am unable to see. Finally she opens her hands, palms up, the object sits in the center. It is a tiny Moccasin. At last, I think I know what this symbol means. Before I can complete my thought, Spider Woman's voice cuts in.
"Yes, it is the symbol for 'walk a mile in someone else's Moccasin'," She giggles. "It's a good one, isn't it?"
I agree. "A very clear and easy to understand symbol."
"It is very easy in this world for people to criticize others and their situations or choices. When we are working hard and others are on welfare, it is easy to forget that they are just like us only wearing a different pair of Moccasins and that one day we may be forced to, or choose to, walk in also. It is important for those on welfare to realize that they will not walk forever in the same Moccasins. In fact, the enlightened Soul has walked in many, many Moccasins and learned tolerance and compassion. These are qualities that some Comanche have forgotten and this is to remind them."
Spider Woman looks once again at the lone Moccasin and smiles broadly before placing it in the final position in the Comanche line to her right. She looks back at me and says, "You look tired."
"It's difficult to stay in an altered state this long."
"I understand. Then I will see you tomorrow?"
"Unless I have to make a trip into town."
She disappears. I think a nap would be a good idea.
NOTE: Once again, when checking through my lists of sacred objects, I find that I have miscounted. The Comanche had only six instead of seven objects. When I asked Spider Woman about this she said, "The Comanche do not need seven at this time. They have already worked through the situation or problem that the seventh object would have reminded them to work on. This is good. This is not a bad thing that they don't have seven. They are to be congratulated for their awareness and willingness to work on tribal challenges."
