Where does fear really live in us?
By Dr. Judith Long
Wow! What a month this has been. The planet seems to be accelerating one day and slowing down the next. A few Tuesdays ago I looked at my clock and it was 2:25 pm. I thought to myself that I was expecting it to be 5:00. Great I had more time. Maybe the quickening had reached some sort of plateau. The next time I noticed time I couldn't imagine where the day had gone. It was nearly over and I had just begun.
The fact that the east coast has received 19" of rain in the last month, along with weird weather patterns across our planet, and an unusual uptick in earthquake activity makes for interesting thought and discussion. Amid these unusual atmospheric, time, and gravitational changes we are required to remain calm, aware, and centered. Awareness IS the key here. Understanding what is really going on is extremely useful now. I will leave the current events articles to my co-writers. I am here to talk about what happens in our bodies when, in the midst of change, something gets triggered and we go into fear.
Evidently I was in fear; without realizing it, it had crept up on me. It's true that I have been through a lot lately. The death of my father and all that that required of me, having close dealings with family where I hadn't been real close for a long time, and finally a move clear across the country from Pennsylvania to Sedona - all this in a very short period of time.
I thought I moved through all of it just fine, until one day, after being settled in my new home, I noticed that after eating, my stomach felt really uncomfortable. It progressed to happening after every meal. Now, I am mostly a raw food person, so this just doesn't happen to me. Driving across the country, I must admit, I did cheat a little; especially when I visited friends in Santa Fe. I also attended a workshop and the snacks there were not really good for me. I ate them anyway. I was hungry, and hadn't prepared my food in advance. I thought that my stomach distress was due to that. So, I went about getting back to my right eating. Much to my surprise, that didn't help. I was experiencing pain even after drinking a large glass of water.
I finally decided to visit a Digestive Health Practitioner. Sure enough, after a few colonics, we were able to get to the problem. I had developed Candida. Uggh! You have got to be kidding me, I thought. Me of all people! A die-hard, totally committed, health nut! After my disbelief leveled off, I was amazed to find out that the gut holds onto our fears and our problems for us. We go about our daily routine and if we are not totally vigilant about everything in our lives, making sure at all times that we are at peace with it, our gut holds on to anything that is unresolved with a death grip.
I am now amazed at the value of colonics and digestive health. I know about digestive enzymes, and all of that, but I was not aware that the colon contributes largely to the function of our immune system. I did know that coffee mixed with sugar (haven't eaten it for years) isn't good for me; however I was adding Agave and Honey in my coffee twice a day, keeping these material forms of fear and anxiety locked in place in the colon. I didn't realize that every organ and system of the body is represented in, and connected to, the gut. But, I will tell you that during each colonic memories came up, and I absolutely had to look at all of them and let them go. It's been amazing.
This is a true example of the mind/body connection. I never would have guessed. I knew all the Louise Hay stuff from years ago and believed in it totally; what I didn't know is that the entire body is housed energetically in the gut. I happen to be an extremely sensitive person. I feel everything. This is good in so many ways. However, I know now that I have to check in every night to make sure that I am at peace with the day and all of its news and activities. Otherwise the old colon will take a beating and I will not release unless I release in my mind.
I understand fear to be 'false evidence appearing real'. So fear can be just negative thoughts about anything. Fear is not necessarily terror. It is the nagging discomfort we feel due to our own interpretations of things, especially ourselves. There are so many ways to change interpretations. I advise you to pick one and utilize it. Make sure your body, especially your gut, is in a peaceful mode before sleeping.
If you are interested in ascending, it is crucial that you do this. The heaviness that one feels when the gut or any other part of the body is holding onto issues, keeps us from being able to rise up. We just don't have the energy. Let's make a commitment (because I want you to all be in Bliss with me) to eat right, think right, and love our planet and all life, everywhere, knowing that all is well because everything is perfect.
I am now Candida free, 12 lbs lighter and happy. My mind is clear. I have heaps of energy and the old, underlying, nagging issues that would have me in a dither a month ago are gone. Life is awesome.

Warm Blessings and Happy Colon,
Love, Judith
