Transcending limiting structure and embracing flow: Proactively engaging with change
All that is ‘set in stone’ will ultimately crumble. ‘Fences’ will at some stage come down. Within the context of an ever changing universe the challenge is to remain centered within our authority, and in so doing represent our higher selves as points of creative focus on the journey of transcendence. Being constantly mindful of our loving nature and the responsibilities that we have to our soul makes it possible for us to experience change in a harmonious way.
In the context of our dualistic experience of evolution, ‘harmony’ represents the forces of resonance and the forces of dissonance (or plus and minus) working together in the course of change – one of the great invariables in our universe. Conscious acceptance of the inevitability of change facilitates the awakening to our higher nature.
One of the ways to resolve the inner (and outer) ‘battles’ we experience in the material world is to allow structure that no longer serves, to dissolve. Thus it is that
we embrace the flow, and thereby engage with change in a proactive way. This shift in awareness involves a process of re-focusing, and is about engaging consciously with evolution – essentially the evolution of consciousness, within our dualistic experience.
With each step that is taken, what is arrived at is a new and more expanded sense of enlightenment. What we understand as enlightenment, in the general sense within our society, is a profound awakening to the ‘grander scheme of things’. In the broader sense, enlightenment might also describe any process where new steps in consciousness (and therefore in evolution) are taken.
The subject of structure is vast, for structures exist in order to contain, to exclude, to control, to prevent, to enable. Structure does not exist simply on one level. Any structure exists on various levels. In general, the structure most familiar to humanity is that which exists within the context of the material world: material constructs, such as buildings, cities, roadways, places of containment. As we observe the material realm more deeply, we become aware of that which we would understand as geometry (including the science of geometry, which could also be referred to as, ‘the science of structure within form’).
In the context of the polarities of ‘structure’ and ‘flow’, the molecular and atomic structure within a plant or a person, for example, appears relatively stable within ‘the short term’, until existential change is registered in the entity or ‘being’, from one state to another, such as when a person passes on, or when the physical, geometric, molecular and atomic structure is seen to be undergoing rapid change. In the case of a rock, of course, change might be experienced by an observer as being so imperceptible that it is relatively unnoticeable in the context of human timing.
The structure that is generally not obvious to the physical human eye is the etheric structure, which contains the ‘life force’ of the entity. This – with regard to a person, for example – is the energy field associated with the physical, emotional and mental bodies, and which links these three bodies to Spirit. Within the context of the societal realm, though nonetheless within the material realm, there are also structures which are of a less ‘solid’ nature, such as organizations, groups, political, economic, religious and legal systems, and so on.
The dissolution of structure which has served its purpose is a natural process involving transcendence beyond, or the dissolving of that which is no longer experienced as being life-affirming. Thus it is that societal structures that have developed an inflexible, corrupt or controlling character are, in the course of time, recognized as such – a vivid case in point being the dissolution that we witness within the current global economic system.
All structure, within the context of duality, involves the interplay between ‘light’ and ‘dark’, between the flexible and inflexible, constructive and deconstructive, the material and non-material, the dense and the subtle, and so on. One who proactively engages the creative flow and works with the energy of change facilitates the play of light upon structure in support of the evolutionary process. Engaging the creative flow involves the acceptance, the understanding and the stewarding of change. This describes the work of one who functions in a state of authentic dominion. If it is to be life-affirming, such work is always carried out from the standpoint of love – with the highest intent. Prejudice and the intention to do harm play
no role.
Engaging responsibly with change necessitates woring with the materials at hand with a sense of inner clarity. An initiator and steward of positive change works as would a healer – not invested wholly in outcomes. Consider the work of the rainmaker and the implications of such work, if not performed with the highest intent. This is where a developed sense of personal authority plays a significant role – ‘knowing’ and acting from an ethical and compassionate point of view; bringing wisdom to bear within stagnant situations, thus facilitating flow.
A profound question that life
poses to each of us is, ‘Where lies the responsibility for your reality other than with you?’ Taking responsibility, allowing and bringing forth the creative focus is part of that kindling process which many suppress due to deeply inculcated belief systems involving the notion that authority comes from elsewhere. For eons humanistic philosophies have labored over the question, ‘What is the meaning of life?’, whereas a more appropriate question might be, ‘How may I bring meaning to life?’
The creative focus that I speak of involves the natural flow of light, of consciousness, of love – the flow of the life-stream balanced between polarities. This flow, which embodies the intrinsic nature of change, calls forth the resourceful interaction of those who recognize its presence and its dynamics and involves the practice of actively harmonizing with the course of evolution. To evolve includes exploring new and more expanded ways of configuring, and becoming innovative within new frequencies. Briefly put, it is the practice of creatively aligning with the unfolding flow of
Divine will.
As we become the facilitator and the creator, we are able to look at another and see ourselves. We recognize that the light within each living being is kindled by the Great Light – the light of All Life. As we understand and embody this, we recognize that the kindling of our light signifies the kindled light within each and every aspect
of life.
I am within
The heart of the Divine,
The Divine is within
The heart of ‘I Am’
The joy of each entity becoming self-aware and connecting with it’s inner light may be recognized, for example, in the playfulness that one sees in a dog that is running free on a beach, or the flight of a butterfly after it has emerged from its chrysalis. From our sometimes limited perspective (influenced by societal belief systems), an animal is generally not perceived as having the ability to be self-realized on a soul level. Yet deep within our psyche we know and understand that these things apply to all within the various kingdoms, each within their unique context.
And so, even the one-celled creature operating within a system of fellow one-celled creatures reaches a point where it becomes the joyful, creative core, or nucleus – as the queen bee becomes the heart of the hive. This could happen within blood cells or within any system where the life force is concentrated at the center – where the greatest awakening and ‘self-realization’ is occurring. The centre of your heart and the centre of all life are one. We and Source are indivisible. As we acknowledge this and become acknowledged, we experience the ultimate joy. As we allow fluidity within our own perception and thus transcend structural limitation, so we gain greater facility to engage with change.
