Astrological influences for May 2015
Venus the planet of love will open new doors of greater vision to move forward this month.
The full moon in Scorpio on May 3rd, is an opportunity for completion and resolution of issues, that we greatly need in order to move forward. The solar rays of the Taurus Sun this month, will uplift us while making a positive aspect to Pluto. After feeling things have been uncertain for so long, this energy makes it very clear for us to move forward through a new door with greater vision. The support also comes from the retrogrades of Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto; to sustain our focus while Venus moves into the sign of Cancer.
Taurus, an earth sign, lends its grounding energy to us, after the three years of Pluto and Uranus challenges. Venus, the ruler of Taurus, will change signs of May 7th prior to Mother’s Day. This will turn the focus towards love, as well as, the support of our family, friends, and homeland – it is time to connect to our roots both above and below. The month of May brings in a breath of fresh air, with Venus lending its love, and creative flow, in order to plant seeds for new growth. Venus has been in the sign of Gemini, which represents communication and the influence of siblings. Events occuring over the last month, reflect how love can shine through from loved ones, opening up communication. Currently as Venus enters Cancer (rooted in the domain of family and home), it continues its support for not only the individual, but the collective. With a broader vision, we are able to see where we may also give love, and support.
We will feel at times those soul searching moments, as the great digger of truth (Pluto), continues to have an impact on us. Over the last several years, the chain reaction of Uranus square Pluto, has taken us to this very moment. We now have a clearer vision ahead. Once a year, Mars and the Sun are in opposition to Saturn. This month, these fires will be more tame with the serious, and steady influence of Saturn. Careful and considerate decisions are at hand.
The magic of Mercury in its own sign of Gemini, will go retrograde to give us an opportunity to re-examine our intentions and communication, and consider just what it is we wish to manifest. The retrograde occurs from May 18th to June 11th, and will remain in shadow until June 20th, that is when to act on those Saturn influenced decisions.
Mercury and Mars come together at the end of this month, as a reminder to keep your eyes open, and to use a sense of truth and compassion with the intuitive insights of Mercury.
Last month, I had eye surgery to improve my vision, which was long over due. When we are ready to improve our vision, we see things in a new light and discover doors that have been open for us. We can just walk through them, and do what we are meant to do – co-create!
