Letter from the Editor

The first time I recall hearing any mention of “The End of Time” I must have been around 16-years-old. It wasn’t my parents, or my teachers, or anyone in Sunday School who enlightened me on this subject: I came across it in the appendix of one of those astrology magazines that they used to sell at the Rexall Drug Store . With only a vague sense of what it meant, the one thing that struck me was that I would be 64-years-old when whatever it said in the back pages of this ‘DELL’ publication, came to pass.

It’s interesting to remember what it was like to be the girl who was just finding out about these things, and to be here now, after a life time of wracking my brain trying to connect the dots, looking at the reality of the situation. Compared to whatever I pictured, and in light of the wondering that led that original piece of apocalyptic information to form a huge part of my life’s work, standing on the cusp of the 2012 Winter Solstice, I am not half as freaked out as I thought it would be.

Maybe it’s because I’m older – and maybe it’s because time has taken much of the mystery out of the questions that made me think that life on this planet would be all over by or before the winter of 2012. Now that we’re here, it not only blows me away to be living through it, it amazes me that after all these years there is so much light at the end of the tunnel.

As far as that goes, whatever there is to say is beyond words. I’m not trying to let myself off the hook; I am just saying that I don’t have any way of knowing what’s about to happen. Like so many of us I am learning to be in the moment – and because of that it feels to me like it’s time to watch, and wait, and go into our hearts and let the awakening cosmos show us how to proceed.

The miraculous changes that that have already started to transform us heighten the sense of wonder that is intrinsic to the Winter Cross-Quarter and to the celebrations that line the path to the Solstice. As we approach the ‘Holy Days’, let them remind us of the spirit of Christ Consciousness, and of the ‘Illuminated Heart’ that is alive and well and beginning to awaken inside each one of us.

Namaste, Many Blessings, Happy Holidays, and most of all, LOVE

To all of you,

For being there.
