Trends in 2014

Story by: Julia Griffin

This year brings new beginnings. On the Chinese calendar, it reads as a wood year.  In the forest, new trees grow abundantly in the spaces left by the older trees. They feed on the humus and the infusion of light, which comes in the place where the old tree once stood.  This process will take place in the outer world this year, but the speed and replenishment of new energy depends on how quickly we want to grow and/or change.

There are several levels of consciousness and change. On the highest, you work with light, and your life is dedicated to this effort. (I’m not referring to your job.) If this is your level, you can expect greater understanding of how light works, personal transformation, breakthroughs with sending/receiving energy, and an awareness of the holographic format of life. By holographic format, I mean understanding how we communicate by putting energy into form by shaping it with visual imagery and sound. Another part of this understanding is learning how you read energy from others and how they read you. Everything is composed of particles and waves. If you can put order to the particles, you can send an effective wave of energy toward a desire, higher outcome, or balance in the world.

Conscious consciousness involves those who have an open heart and are learning to seek the higher vibrations and frequencies in life. They affect life more than they know, and their energy will grow stronger this year. Knowing how to find the heart space is a valuable skill; it prevents fear and anxiety, giving some immunity to the thoughts and feelings of mass consciousness. This group will learn how to send light and shape their reality more accurately during the coming year.

The limitation of the group lies in its identification with their particular level of energy. For example, light workers typically go to particular types of seminars, talk about specific books, or have a special group of friends. There is nothing wrong with any of this, but greater growth comes from meditation, checking in with your inner self to see if it works for you, and using discernment with friends. This is not about judging people or activities; it is about finding answers and direction from your inner self—not the group.

Lower or mass consciousness will probably panic at the universe’s pulse to move into spiritual consciousness. The negativity usually becomes stronger when the light level is higher, which has slightly slowed our overall efforts. When mass consciousness feels fear, it is amplified out to everyone. In other words, this group generates lower emotions such as fear, anxiety, depression, and anger. (Of course, we have to resonate with this to some degree, but most of us don’t feel negativity to such a great degree.) You can ask to be lifted above or out of the vibration of mass consciousness when you experience lower emotions. It usually takes between an hour and a day. After some practice, it’s easier to know when it’s the people around you and when it’s you.

Our connectedness with others or psychic abilities will increase for those who are awakening or actively working with light. We will gain awareness of how others impact our reality, how we interact with this energy to create our reality, and how to transform the energy. In metaphysics, we discover how many thoughts and feelings are generated by others. We also learn to discern the specific resonance of our correct thoughts and feelings.

Transformation is more than shifting; it means working on a higher spiritual level as opposed to the astral (the psychic field of humanity at large.) We know when it happens because a situation takes an immediate turn for the better. It’s one of the thrills of working with light; everything changes and takes on a higher pattern. (Let’s visualize lots of this!)

The weather will continue with its strange conditions, storms, rain, and heat, until we calm down. Every human being is composed of four elements (fire, air, water, and earth), and the earth reflects our out of balance feelings. It also clears them with storms, fire, or rain.  The earth is out of balance, but so are we. When lower emotions and thoughts are transmuted or transformed, the weather usually becomes smoother with fewer storms. Hopefully, we will learn to project positive, even weather in the coming years.

For those who truly want it, we can probably become a great deal happier. The last two years have been harder for people with higher consciousness or awakened hearts because we are carrying many people during this time of change. I believe we will probably let go of many upsetting situations, events, and people in the coming year. It is too hard to carry them and continue with our work. After all of this, it will be easy to leave behind what keeps us from true happiness.  If we come to find an easy question and its answer–we will accomplish it if it brings greater happiness to ourselves and others.

The world continues to reflect issues with money, religion, politics, and pollution, and will continue throughout the year. Having said this, I suspect there are some very simple and easily managed solutions to all of it. For some of us, it is important to visualize or feel them. For others, they are petitions or becoming a gentle activist. I believe daily visualization and sending love helps; we could all send love/energy/peace to every world problem and spend more time seeing solutions.

With my inner self, I think it is a year of intention. I find that the types of decisions where I made permanent changes in my life determined a much more positive course for my life. One simple choice was not feeling so much fear and making myself move forward, another involved meditating every day. It is not necessary to make decisions now, but it is important to contemplate them.

Strong choices bring faith and courage; they can awaken our spirit so it touches the world.
