This July, I watched a documentary called “Song of the New Earth” by Woody Creek Pictures. It’s a great film that follows the life of Tom Kenyon and his experiences with sound healing, I even saw it twice. I personally appreciate his work and was stunned by the beauty of his piece “A Song to Gaia.” I recommend you pick up a copy when the film is released publicly this mid-November.

When Tom was meditating under an oak tree in North Carolina, he experienced “Sat Chit Ananda” (which means Pure Bliss Conciousness). He thought that he was meditating only a few moment, but when he opened his eyes, the sun was setting. He felt the love of everything and was in a deep place of contentment and peace afterward.

When he was in college, he experienced Kundalini (meaning Life Force Energy). He felt a snake move through his spine and he could see through people’s emotion.

He studied about sound and found that sound could increase the alpha state of consciousness, depending on the sound of music, the structure of architecture, sound quality of instrument, and rhythm. It can decrease blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, and stress hormones. Our voice can heal others and ourselves, not in an external sound healing sense but merely how we speak to each other. It’s about how we choose our words and the tone we use. We are creating the world by how we speak to each other.

When he met the Hathors, they said they came from another planet with love and a sound of new reality for the Earth. They lived in Venus to Sirius and came to balance this universe. They gave him some information, which was difficult to understand initially, but he recognized its significance because they were talking about the brain and geometry of consciousness, as well as their relationship to sound and emotion. They asked him to write a sacred book, which he published in 1996, called “The Hathor Material – Messages from an Ascended Civilization.” When he turned 40 years old, he was given an initiation. He was asked if he will sing the song for the new Earth, which meant he had to go all over the world and sing the sound patterns that the planet resonates.

Finally, Tom said that he wished he could personally help humanity firsthand, but ultimately he can only witness the choices people make. Everyone is responsible for their own happiness, he is only singing the space at to allow them to create for themselves.

“For me, music and sound are both the language and underlying architecture of the cosmos.”

-Tom Kenyon-
