The Fall Eclipses arrive in October to complete a nine-year cycle.

October will have many twists and turns for us to navigate, so that we will feel like sailors on the Cosmic Sea at times. The lunar and solar eclipse will trigger changes, especially with bringing about the ending of a nine or eighteen year cycle. Look back and notice if the events that started in that time period are reaching a conclusion; even though at times it may have felt like your life is on replay. This is the work of the lunar eclipse.

The solar eclipse will bring in new beginnings with the next cycle. Mercury will go retrograde on October 4th, which gives us time to look back and re-examine our plan to move forward. There could be shock waves along with Uranus and a lunar eclipse in Aries: the adventurous spirit is needed so we can change directions for this new beginning. There will also be five planets in water signs to open our minds and show us a higher way of thinking as this is a time period to see the big picture. Mars moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn which will give reinforcement as we take action.

The month starts off with serene Venus in Libra starting on September 29, and will remain there for three weeks acting as oars to balance in an unsteadiness that will occur as we change directions. Mercury will be in its last retrograde this year (beginning on October 4th to the 25th), and is moving from Scorpio’s dark thinking into Libra. This is a sign of calm and balanced energy which is greatly needed; it is imparting an important ability to see both sides of any issue before making a fair judgment.

Mars, now in Sagittarius, gives off a strong desire for action on the knowledge we have gained. We can feel the influence of the intense interaction between Mars and Uranus as they meet head on October 4th. Mercury retrograde works on strategies before taking action, while Mars in Sagittarius encourages us to act on our beliefs. Life is requiring us to stay open to new ideas, to be supportive, and show acceptance of others.

October 8th, the Lunar Eclipse will be at 14 degrees Aries, which is one of four cardinal signs with Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. With Aries and Uranus, both in opposition to the Libra Sun, intuition and possible explosive energy will occur.

You may now have clear insights as to the events that are on this nine-year cycle, and can bring them into balance within yourself. Two very different energies are felt at this time; one is the warrior energy of Aries, and the other is harmony and balance from the opposite sign of Libra. The outcome is dependent upon your courage to connect the dots from the past, and then to be able to open a new door and begin a new cycle.

The mind meets love on October 17th as Mercury in Libra unites with Venus to promote amity, as well as to start healing the past and present. This allows lines of communication to open for a peaceful conclusion. The new Moon and Solar Eclipse at 0 degrees Scorpio takes place on October 24th, and Mercury goes direct on October 25th to encourage us to initiate our new journey forward.

Along with this, three planets change signs, and one even changes direction. With five planets, all in water signs, there is a foundation for creativity, intuition and a sensitivity that is aided by Neptune in Pisces. Here we can feel the deep and serious waters of Scorpio during a time of deep reflection. Pluto still remains in Capricorn, and Saturn in Scorpio, both connecting to an ongoing theme that will play out for many years: the Death card (Scorpio) in the Tarot, reminds us of our true beginning and what is most important to us even during tumultuous waters of Neptune’s current, which only abducts us so that we see things more clearly when we come up for air.

We are truly supported in our new adventure each day and the heavens are observing and learning with us.

May you see the love and joy in your life each day.
