About Men and Women

(from our Male Readers)

Recently my view of the traditional male/female relationship has changed a great deal, especially since I began meditating and practicing the merkaba a couple of years ago. I can see this change happening around me in normal daily life, and have also had some profound insights while in meditation. Though I don't yet understand where this is taking us as a species, something incredible is clearly happening, with potential to be an extraordinary evolutionary advancement for both the human race as well as our planet herself.

This masculine dominated society unquestionably seems to be rebalancing itself. Men are increasing in feminine energy, and women are increasing in masculine energy. It feels as if male and females have been two separate, incomplete halves of a whole for a very long time, but are just now beginning to somehow become whole unto themselves. If this is true, I believe it has the potential to be a wonderful thing with profound implications in bringing this world back into balance, but it seems to also cause a great deal of difficulty and confusion for those unaware of what may be happening, as the energies have very powerful effects on the consciousness despite their seemingly subtle nature.

As the consciousness of both genders is changing, so too are the expectations of one another, causing a complete turning inside-out in how we view each other. It feels as if all of the things that we as humans do to keep ourselves secretive and separated from others are all being brought out into the light, as if some invisible membrane is steadily dissolving. People are increasing in their intuitive abilities and becoming able to see through all the fronts we like to put up, causing more of our true selves to become exposed. Needless to say, this can have unexpected results depending on the individual.

Some may find themselves to be in harmony with the changes, by letting go and allowing the process to unfold gracefully, while some are in resistance as they cling to the habits they've become attached to, causing many problems both personally and in their relationships. Many couples seem to be unable to handle this intimate exposure and simply fall apart, while others draw closer together as they find a deep spiritual connection between them under the surface. Many also seem to be having a kind of role reversal, like a pendulum swinging to the other extreme. Nevertheless I believe unconditional love and understanding are vital through this change.

I am a South African male, 53 years old, divorced about 9 years ago and work as a Financial Advisor within a Large Financial Institution.

Whilst I know about alternative spiritual paths, I am confronted daily by both men and woman that follow the belief patterns of their great grand parents and those that followed.

In trying to rekindle relationships, finding some one that has the same belief system as me is extremely difficult to say the least. This is not about me, but the fact that as soon as my truth is uttered a "please pass me by" is thick in the air.

I am reminded many a time that I can but only voice my truth and not impose on others. Be it as it may, it is very frustrating to interact with both woman and men on spiritual matters.

In my rubbing shoulders with esoteric minded people, the language spoken is a universal one, and I have found through my own wondering that the divide between men and woman has narrowed. All of a sudden there is no rule or law that says a man should or has a more significant role to play in a relationship. Both sexes are equal.

Other religious followers tend to follow the rule that woman are subservient to men and as such should take second stage. This perception is changing within the circle in which I find myself.

Seeking the truth has opened my mind to all paths and I constantly shed preconceptions and judgments and have found a golden line threaded between all these holy books and their belief systems.

Seek and you shall find. That is how I and other men and woman like me who previously subscribed to listening to our so called spiritual leaders have changed. I have my own story to tell now and that is the most liberating event in my life! Personally, my wish in the future would be for everyone to be an individual with one collective thought! Now wouldn't that be amazing?

May you love and be loved.
