Poetry by Sage
Hello Everyone at the Spirit of Ma'at,
These are three writings by my daughter, Sage. The first one she wrote in 2004 when she was only 6, without any assistance. I am sending it unedited - the way she wrote it. It was also published in the May 2004 issue of Spirit in the Smokies (Asheville, NC). Sage lives with half time with me (her mom) and her Dad, in Hamilton, Ontario Canada and is now 10 yrs old.
Innerlooking
Looking inside your selth is important
Look inside your selth and you will believe in miracles.
Nature is one of Gods greatest creations
You must love your selth before you love your family.
The Earth is one of Gods favourite loved ones.
Look inside you and everything will come true.
Farries dance in the gardens and they beleave in the magic of Nature.
Angels dance by the moon light
The wolves howl at the moon
And the birds sing to the Angels down from heaven.
So, before you go to bead every night,
Sing to God and he will send down some of his Angels
To watch over you everyday of your whole life.
To my love mother...love Sage.
This is a song Sage wrote when she attended a creativity/music/art camp in the summer of 2005 — age 7
One Love
One love, we need one love
One world, we need one world
One heart, we are one heart
One song to sing...
One joy...
World peace...
One Love...
This is a Haiku poem written at school last year — age 9 (Sage has raised monarch butterflies on her own in our living room, where we have watched in awe, the entire process from egg to caterpillar, to chrysalis, to butterfly. She then releases them to the wind from our 12th floor balcony.)
The Chrysalis
Chrysalis, unique
Hanging fearlessly, green gem
Swaying with the wind
Heather Fraser is the mother of a remarkable spirit by the name of Sage. Sage raises Monarch butterflies and writes poetry that is straight from the heart. What follows will give you a sense of how wonderful it would be if adults were as tuned in to life as this young girl seems to be.
