Perpetual Energy Machine

By Kyle S. Millner

Kyle is a born inventor with an open mind. Maybe he will be the one to solve the energy crisis.

This drawing has an elaborate origin. In the summer of 2007, I was not quite 12 yet, I read a book called "Flipped" for Reading Olympics. In the book, I noticed the topic "Perpetual Motion" mentioned in one of the chapters. I pondered over this; was it possible? If so, how was it performed? I decided to draw what it would look like. I drew an atom's nucleus, and a few protons orbiting around it. I then thought, "maybe it's a power source!" I drew a few controlled currents around it. A battery or two and some other small details. That September, though, something relative to it happened. On the 3rd day of school, our science teacher asked us to create a scientific idea and bring it to school. The next day, I read aloud my idea of the "Perpetual Energy Machine". Everyone… stared. I was kind of embarrassed, so I just shrank back into my seat. I continued the drawings, though. There were limitless possibilities with limitless power. Steamers, engines, even simple clocks. I drove on, and created the 3-D Sketch. I wrote the summary of my ideas and I decided to put it away. When I became aware of this, though, the drawings came to mind. I am now mailing it in to show you. I really hope you like these!

About Kyle Millner

Hi there, everyone! My name is Kyle Sebastian Millner. My birthday is February 21st, so I'm a Pisces and I turned 12 this year. In September 2007, 1 started 6th grade at Indian Valley Middle School. My family lives in Souderton, PA (About 45 minutes north of Philadelphia-where I was born!) I've got 3 great cats: Rudy, Betty, and Grace who all were from a litter we "rescued" from the "wild". They are great companions whether I'm working on my computer or reading a book. I play the flute and the ocarina (a clay instrument similar to the flute). I LOVE to read, write free verse poetry, and create different things on my computer. I also like to create and build things with my thousands of Legos. I like to draw comic strips, illustrate animations on the computer and make short stop-motion animated movies. Sushi is my favorite food over everything else there is to eat! I'm a bit of a quirky boy. I wear a really cool pendant from "Orgonix" that my aunt got me in California. It's made of small crystals, bits of metal, and a tesla coil. I believe it protects my spirit from bad energies. I hope you guys like the perpetual motion drawings I entered to the Spirit of Maat. I remember showing them to Matt (my friend at school) and he said, "What book did you get those from?" I was like, "No, I drew them." He then told me to prove it. So there I was, drawing one in Social Studies (I think it was the top-right one). THEN he believed me. I really had fun drawing the machines and thinking about their purposes. I'm SO pleased that the Spirit of Maat will be sharing my ideas with all of its readers! Thanks again for the opportunity.
