John Peterson

BEAR
A bear stomping on the land,
Walking to find a place to sleep,
Sitting watching the cubs,
Swimming to catch fish,
Fighting for the kingdom,
Running through the maze of trees,
Standing up to smell the air,
Going out to find prey.

COYOTE
Cries and yelps
Out goes the message to her friend
Yells to the moon
Owls are her companions
Tricks every one in sight
Every one falls asleep with the Coyote at dawn

By John Peterson, Age 8

About John

John Peterson is now ten years old. He wrote the poetry you are about to read when he was only 8. Our intuition tells us that John is an ancient warrior spirit whose heart will guide him to work closely with Mother Nature.
