Biographical information

Dr. Barbara Marx Hubbard President of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution, received her Bachelor Degree from Bryn Mawr College cum laude in Political Science. She took her junior year abroad at the Sorbonne and the Ecole des Sciences Politiques in Paris. She was given a first ever Doctorate in Conscious Evolution by Emerson Theological Institute.

In 1984 her name was placed in nomination for the Vice Presidency of the United States (along with Geraldine Ferraro) on the Democratic ticket, proposing an Office for the Future and a "Peace Room" in the White House to scan for, map, connect, and communicate what is working in the United States and the world. She has developed a plan for the Transformation of the American Presidency that came out of this experience.

Barbara co-founded several major organizations including the World Future Society and the Global Association for New Thought. She appears on many television and radio interviews and speaks internationally before audiences as wide ranging as NASA to the Inner city of Los Angeles.

Barbara co-developed with Teresa Collins "Gateway to Conscious Evolution," a first guided educational program using Internet that covers the whole developmental path toward the next stage of human evolution now reaching over a 1000 people globally.

Barbara is now producing a seven part documentary series entitled "Humanity Ascending: A New Way through Together." This transformational series presents vital elements to awaken the codes for our own conscious evolution and offers direction, meaning and a vision toward our birth as a new humanity.

She is working with EARTH AID and EARTH DANCE and other such large global musical events to offer the Wheel of What Works, a living expression of Our Turn on the Spiral — what is breaking through out of what is breaking down, dramatizing a continuing picture of the emerging world, as THE NEXT STEP — a popular invitation to everyone to participate in realizing their vision, giving their gifts, finding their teammates and life purpose. She is providing a new template for social synergy that offers a way beyond the polarization and separation now afflicting our system. She sees that by 2012 we can transform the dominator culture in which we are trapped into a coherent movement arising out of the creativity and compassion of the people.
