AWAKEN

By Norma Gentile

This month I offer two sound healings. One, a spoken blessing accompanied by an ancient Tibetan Singing Bowl. The second, a song transmitted from Atamira, my Hathor guide. In this song you will hear first the strains of a schruti box, a devotional instrument of India, and then the slowly awakening song of April.

Here in the northern hemisphere we are moving out of slumber and into awakening. Yet the southern hemisphere is moving into their time of inner work and slumber. Balance reigns. And as we honor that balance of rest and awaken, whether it is in the daily cycle of night and day or the yearly cycles of introspective time and outward creation, we honor our roles as cocreators with Nature and Gaia.

My blessings to all who listen.

Norma

About Norma Gentile

Sound Shaman Norma Gentile stands on the precipice between the worlds of professional music making and energy healing. Holding a master's in voice and years of study with esoteric teachers, Norma channels both in written words and through music. She maintains a private healing practice, and writes regularly for The Sedona Journal and Spirit of Ma'at. She has four albums of sacred healing chants available, including her newest, SONGS of SPIRIT, now at the Ma'at Shop.

Her formal training in music (BM, MM, University of Michigan, Voice Performance) combined with her studies in esoteric healing have helped Norma understand how sound affects our ability to heal, and influenced her exploration of chant as a modality of healing.
